Limit for ways and means advances for first half of FY16 fixed at Rs 45k cr

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in consultation with the government has fixed the limits for ways and means advances (WMA) for the first half of financial year 2015-16 (April-September 2015) at Rs 45,000 crore. The central bank might trigger fresh floatation of market loans when the government utilises 75 per cent of the limit, RBI said on Friday.
