Indian Railways Carry 182.71 Million Tonnes of Freight During April-May 2015
Indian Railways have Carried 182.72 million Tonnes of revenue earning freight traffic during 1st April to 31st May, 2015. The freight carried shows an increase of 2.20 million tonnes over the freight traffic of 180.52 million tonnes actually carried during the corresponding period last year, registering an increase of 1.22 percent. During the month of May, 2015, the revenue earning freight traffic carried by Indian Railways was 92.91 million tonnes. There is an increase of 1.19 million tonnes over the actual freight traffic of 91.72 million tonnes carried by the Indian Railways during the same period last year, showing an increase of 1.30 percent.
