Maternity Benefits to Surrogate Mothers
The Government of India considers grant of Maternity Leave to surrogate mothers on case to case basis keeping in view the totality of the circumstances of each case. Recently Maternity Leave was granted in a few cases. This was stated by the Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions and Minister of State in the Prime Ministers Office Dr. Jitendra Singh in a written reply to a question by Smt Vasanthi M. in the Lok Sabha today.
