Union Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh in a surprise inspection here today visited Shivaji Stadium Terminal and enquired about the transport difficulties from the passengers.
Shri Rajnath Singh also visited New Delhi Railway Station entry and exit points, Sulabh Toilet Complex and Taxi Stand. He asked for maintaining cleanliness at different places.
The Union Home Minister inspected Pahar Ganj Police Station and inspected different offices, Mahila Desk, Jail Rooms and the functioning of CCTVs. He had instructed Delhi Police Commissioner, Shri B.S.Bassi on October 4, 2014 for cleaning of all police stations and other police complexes. Shri Rajnath Singh said that there is a good improvement in the condition and a lot more is yet to be done for making the Police stations and other complexes people and environment friendly. Continuing with his surprise inspection, Shri Rajnath Singh next headed for the office of City Zone, Dy. Commissioner, Municipal Corporation of Delhi, North Delhi and interacted with the people facing difficulties in the MCD offices. He also directed the Dy. Commissioner to keep the complex and Parking Zone neat and clean as he found old and seized vehicles dumped in the parking.
Shri Rajnath Singh later visited the casualty and emergency Ward of the Lok Nayak Hospital and interacted with the people standing in the long queues at the Pharmacy. He asked the Medical Superintendent of the Hospital to ensure that the people get the best possible treatment in the Hospital.
The Union Home Minister concluded his surprise inspection at the JJ Colony at Mirdard Road near Central Government Employees Residential Quarters at the back side of the Hospital.
The Union Home Minister mentioned that the different programmes initiated by the Govt. need to be regularly and personally monitored by the higher ups so that these projects are completed in a time bound manner.
