The Minister of State for Tourism (Independent charge), Culture (Independent charge) and Civil Aviation, Dr Mahesh Sharma has condoled the passing away of famous cartoonist Shri R. K. Laxman who will always be remembered as common mans cartoonist. Shri R K Laxman was awarded Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan and Magsaysay Award for his creative works.
In his message, Dr. Sharma said, I deeply condole the demise of famous cartoonist Shri RK Laxman. The nation will always remember him for his talent, artistic qualities and the creative spirit depicted through his cartoons. His cartoons are not only humorous in nature, but also throw light on important social issues and plight of common man.
My condolences are with his family. May his soul rest in peace.
