Having forayed in Gujarat with its first education learning campus (ELC) in Ahmedabad, Talentedge is already planning to set up 10 more by the end of current fiscal 2013-14 in the state. What's more, the education company has also tied-up with Strategy Academy run by Ranjan Das, a faculty member of Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
"Currently, we have enrollments of around 280 students per week at the Ahmedabad centre. We are planning to set up 10 more such centres across Gujarat in cities like Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot, Bhavnagar and Jamnagar," said Sanjay Srivastava, Vice President - Channel Development & Management, Talentedge.
The ELC at Ahmedabad is spread over an area of over 2, 200 sq ft and will look to offer education and training for secondary, higher secondary and under graduate students, apart from working professionals. "The idea is to enhance employability. Since Gujarat has been witnessing a growth across industries like auto and engineering, we anticipate a nee for employable professionals in the state. Hence, we have set up an education learning centre. We have also tied up with Strategy Academy which is run by IIM Calcutta faculty Ranjan Das. Under the tie-up, we will offer executive education across all centres including Ahmedabad," said Srivastava.
Apart from executive education, the centre will also offer courses related to MBA, BBA, BCA, B.Com and other IT placement enhancer programs in association with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU), Oracle, Microsoft, HP, Prometric, Pearson and ETS, among others.
