Shares of Adani Enterprises is trading higher by 4% at Rs 631 on the NSE after the company said it has signed a pact with the Rajasthan government to develop the country's largest solar park in the state with 10,000 mega watt (MW) capacity.
Adani Enterprises and Rajastan Renewable Energy Corporation will form a joint venture (JV) to set up the solar park, which would include generation projects and a manufacturing unit for solar module, parts and equipment, the company said in a statement.
The government has announced setting of 100,000 MW solar capacity by 2022. It has also issued guidelines for setting up at least 25 solar parks each with a capacity of 500 MW and above across India.
The stock opened at Rs 606 and hit a low of Rs 600 on the NSE. A combined 573,279 shares changed hands on both the counter till 0941 hours.
