Cardamom rises 0.67% on spot demand
Restricted supplies influence prices

Maintaining its upward march, cardamom futures prices rose further by Rs 7 to Rs 1,048.80 per kg today, largely on the back of a rising demand in spot markets against thin supplies.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in October contract traded Rs 7, or 0.67%, higher at Rs 1,048.80 per kg, with a business volume of 138 lots.
September cardamom rose by Rs 5.70, or 0.61%, to Rs 937.20 per kg, with a trading volume of 441 lots.
Traders said rising demand in spot markets against tight stocks following restricted supplies from producing regions led to the upsurge in cardamom futures prices.
