Chana futures for May rose by Rs 17, or 0.51 per cent, to Rs 3,330 per quintal in 8.090 lots.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), the June contract gained Rs 12, or 0.35 per cent, to Rs 3,396 per quintal in 1,59,040 lots.
Prices rose as traders enlarged their holdings on account of the good spot markets demand after a recent fall in prices.
Increased buying due to wedding season led to a rise in chana futures prices.
