Crude oil futures fall on global cues

Tracking a weak global trend, crude oil prices declined by Rs 52 to Rs 4,486 per barrel in futures trading today as speculators reduced their positions.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in May declined by Rs 52, or 1.15% to Rs 4,486 per barrel, in business turnover of 14 lots.  

Similarly, the oil for delivery in June moved down by Rs 48, or 1.05% to Rs 4,531 per barrel in 16 lots.

Meanwhile, crude oil declines by one cent to $100.09 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
