E-Choupals To Sell Financial Products To Farmers

The e-choupals of ITC Ltd will soon become a medium for providing financial products to farmers in addition to their role of an information provider. Financial companies like the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India are in talks with ITC to sell their life insurance products through the e-choupal (electronic commerce initiative) to the farmers.
