Education stocks in focus; Everonn Education surges 20%

Educomp Solutions, Aptech, NIIT, MT Educare, Career Point and Zee Learn were up 2%-14% each on the BSE.

Shares of the companies engaged in the education business have rallied up to 20% each on the bourses, accompanied by heavy volumes.

Among individual stocks, Everonn Education is locked at the upper circuit of 20% at Rs 30 on the BSE. Till 1005 hours, a combined around one million shares changed hands on the counter and there were pending buy orders for 320,948 shares on the BSE and NSE.

Educomp Solutions has surged 14% to Rs 13.55, followed by Aptech (7% at Rs 70.60), NIIT (6% at Rs 54.35), MT Educare (4% at Rs 127), Career Point (2.4% at Rs 167) and Zee Learn (2% at Rs 35.80) on the BSE.
