Fertiliser shares in focus; Chambal Fertilisers, Aries Agro hit 52-week high

RCF, Madras Fertilisers, FACT, Deepak Fertilisers,Chambal Fertilisers and National Fertilisers were up 3%-11% on BSE

Fertiliser shares were in focus and trading higher by up to 11% on the bourses on heavy volumes.

Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals, Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers (RCF), Madras Fertilisers, National Fertilisers, Fertilizers and Chemicals Travancore (FACT) and Deepak Fertilisers and Chemicals were up between 3% and 11% on the BSE. At 10:59 am; the S&P BSE Sensex was up 1.3% or 351 points at 26,587.

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) on Wednesday decided to keep the subsidy on phosphatic and potassic (P&K) fertiliser unchanged for the second half of this financial year, according to Business Standard reports. CLICK HERE TO READ FULL REPORT.

Among the individual stocks, Aries Agro (up 8% at Rs 170) and Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals (5% at Rs 73.55) have hit their respective 52-week highs on the BSE in intra-day trade.
