Gram, its dal strengthen on retailers demand

Barring a rise in gram and its dal prices, other commodities held steady in the wholesale pulses market today.

Market analysts said increased demand from retailers led to the rise in gram and its dal prices.

In the National Capital, gram and its dal local and best quality were up by Rs 25 each to Rs 2,625-2,650, Rs 3,125-3,140 and Rs 3,250-3,375 per quintal, respectively.

Following are today's quotations per quintal:  

Urad 3,850-4,250, Urad chilka (local) 4,700-5,100, best 5,300-5,800, Dhoya 5,150-5,250, Moong 3,930-4,930, Dal moong chilka local 4,900-5,300, Moong Dhoya local 5,200-5,400 and best quality 5,800-6,000

Masoor small 2,750-2,950, bold 2,900-3,150, Dal Masoor local 3,250-3,350, best quality 3,550-3,850, Malka local 3,300-3,350, best 3,450-3,550, Moth 1,650-1,950, Arhar 3,150-3,650, dal arhar dara 4,750-5,150
