Markets set for a weak close

The NSE Nifty is down 136 points at 4,026.

Jaiprakash (JP) Associates has slumped 8.7% to Rs 156.

TCS and Infosys have plunged over 8% each to Rs 797 and Rs 1,662, respectively. Satyam has tumbled 7.7% to Rs 442.

Larsen & Toubro has shed 7% at Rs 2,357. Reliance Infrastructure has dropped 6.7% to Rs 798.

HDFC has slipped 5.5% to Rs 2,002. Tata Steel declined over 5% to Rs 663.

Out of 2,652 stocks traded, 1,710 have declined, 870 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
