Nickel down 0.13% on subdued demand

Sluggish demand from alloy-makers also affected the trade

Nickel futures for March traded Rs 1.30, or 0.13%, lower at Rs 994.70 per kg in 102 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the February contract declined by Rs 1.10, or 0.11%, to Rs 989.80 per kg in 1,671 lots.

Prices dropped as speculators trimmed positions amid weak spot markets trend.

Sluggish demand from alloy-makers also affected the trade.

Signs of economic recovery in US and China boosted demand outlook for base metals at the London Metal Exchange (LME) capped the fall.
