Markets ended higher on Thursday, amid firm global cues, led by oil and gas shares ahead of the meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs on the issue of hike in gas prices later today.
The 30-share Sensex ended up 316 points at 18,868 and the 50-share Nifty ended up 90 points at 5,670.
