Sensex down 250pts from high; tech stocks slip

The Sensex is now down 103 points at 13,823.

The NSE Nifty is down 13 points at 4,149.

TCS and Satyam have plunged 3.5% each to Rs 838 and Rs 462, respectively. Infosys has shed 2.5% at Rs 1,760.

Jaiprakash Associates has tumbled 2.8% to Rs 166. HDFC has dropped 2% to Rs 2,074.

Reliance Infrastructure has slipped 1.8% to Rs 840. NTPC has declined 1.4% to Rs 165.

ICICI Bank, Wipro and Mahindra & Mahindra are down 1.3% each at Rs 609, Rs 425 and Rs 530, respectively.

Hindalco, Ambuja Cements and Tata Motors are up 1.3% each at Rs 156, Rs 80 and Rs 405, respectively.
