Sensex down nearly 200pts; Ranbaxy advances 3%

The Sensex is now down 186 points at 12,916.

Tata Motors has slumped 4.7% to Rs 356. Satyam and DLF have plunged 4% each to Rs 309 and Rs 355, respectively.

Jaiprakash Associates has tumbled 3.7% to Rs 117. TCS and Sterlite have dropped 3.3% each to Rs 654 and Rs 433, respectively.

ICICI Bank and Reliance Communications have shed 3% each at Rs 545 and Rs 337, respectively.

SBI and Maruti have slipped 2.5% each to Rs 1,397 and Rs 665, respectively.

HDFC and Infosys have declined 2.3% each to Rs 2,040 and Rs 1,415, respectively. Bharti Airtel is down 2% to Rs 761.

 

Ranbaxy has surged 2.5% to Rs 279. BHEL and Hindustan Unilever have moved up around 1.5% each to Rs 1,573 and Rs 256, respectively.
