Sensex firm; Sun Pharma tumbles 12%

The Sensex is firm at 14,603, up 258 points.
Sterlite has surged 6% at Rs 610. ICICI Bank and Larsen & Toubro have rallied nearly 5% each at Rs 736 and Rs 1,598, respectively.
Hindalco and BHEL have gained over 3% each at Rs 87 and Rs 2,199, respectively.
Reliance Communications, Infosys and Reliance have added 2.5% each at Rs 308, Rs 1,799 and Rs 2,007, respectively.
Sun Pharma has crashed over 12% at Rs 1,142.
Ranbaxy has dropped 3.5% atRs 257 and Tata Steel has shed nearly 3% at Rs 386.
The market breadth is fairly positive- out of 2,581 shares, 1,518 advanced and 972 declined.
