Sensex recovers; L&T, ONGC move up

The Sensex has once again recovered from lower levels and is now almost flat at 14,717 - down seven points.

Grasim has slumped 5% to Rs 1,954. Hindalco and Mahindra & Mahindra have plunged 3% each to Rs 132 and Rs 566, respectively.

ACC has shed 2.7% at Rs 593. Ranbaxy and Reliance Communications have slipped 2.5% each to Rs 487 and Rs 414, respectively.

Maruti and Reliance have dropped 2% each to Rs 637 and Rs 2,230, respectively.

Sterlite and Tata Motors are down 1.6% each at Rs 610 and Rs 425, respectively.

HDFC has surged over 4% to Rs 2,383. HDFC Bank has rallied 2.7% to Rs 1,207.

 

Satyam has gained 2% at Rs 420. TCS and Infosys are up over 1% each at Rs 842 and Rs 1,708, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro has moved up 1.7% to Rs 2,706, and ONGC has added 1.5% to Rs 1,082.

Out of 2,575 stocks traded so far, 1,490 have declined, 992 have advanced and 93 are unchanged.
