Sensex up 250pts; ICICI Bank, Reliance rally

The Sensex has extended gains and is now up 247 points at 9,318.

Jaiprakash Associates, ICICI Bank and TCS have soared around 5% each to Rs 70, Rs 448 and Rs 548, respectively.

Sterlite, Reliance and Tata Steel have surged 4.5% each to Rs 275, Rs 1,129 and Rs 212, respectively.

Reliance Communications, Reliance Infrastructure and Infosys have moved up 2.3% each to Rs 175, Rs 496 and Rs 1,282, respectively.

Hindalco has gained 3.7% at Rs 50. DLF and Wipro have rallied around 3% each to Rs 212 and Rs 248, respectively.

HDFC Bank and Mahindra & Mahindra have advanced 2.7% each to Rs 1,016 and Rs 312, respectively. HDFC has added 2.4% to Rs 1,591.

 

Ranbaxy and Sun Pharma have slipped nearly 1.5% each to Rs 213 and Rs 1,120, respectively.
