Sensex up 465pts in early trades; Wipro zooms 11%

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 472 points 11,781, and soon jumped to a high of 11,851. The index is now up 465 points at 11,774.

Wipro has zoomed over 11% to Rs 315, after its ADR skyrocketed nearly 40% on the Wall Street yesterday.

Larsen & Toubro soared 8.7% to Rs 1,074. Reliance Infrastrucuture and Satyam surged 7% each to Rs 645 and Rs 288, respectively.

ICICI Bank and Jaiprakash Associates rallied over 6.5% each to Rs 454 and Rs 86, respectively.

Infosys and DLF have advanced over 6% each to Rs 1,402 and Rs 320, respectively.
