Themis Medicare is locked in 20% upper circuit at Rs 577 on the BSE amid heavy volumes ahead of the extra ordinary general meeting (EGM) on Friday, June 10, to obtain shareholders nod for fund raising plan through the issue of equity shares on a preferential basis to non-promoters.
The board of directors of the pharmaceutical company at its meeting held on May 14, 2016, had approved a proposal to issue convertible warrants to promoters of the company and issue of equity shares to non-promoters investors.
The company identified non-promoters investors for issuance of 500,000 equity shares at Rs 500 per share, subject to the approval of the members, Themis Medicare said in a statement.
The board approved issuance and allotment of 125,000 convertible warrants on preferential basis to four Indian promoters at the rate of Rs 500 each, entitling them to 125,000 equity shares of Rs 10 each convertible within 18 months of allotment of warrants, it added.
Till 01:49 PM, a combined 60,379 shares changed hands on the counter against an average sub 10,000 shares that were traded daily in past two weeks on the BSE and NSE. There were pending buy orders for 38,708 shares on both the exchanges.
