4 terrorists killed in Shopian after fresh firing

Four terrorists were killed after fresh firing was reported in Shopian's Killora village on Saturday, taking the death toll to five.

This came in continuum to an encounter that broke out between security personnel and terrorists at around 9: 30 p.m. on Friday.

During the encounter, the body of one terrorist was recovered and was later identified as that of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist, Umar Malik.

An AK-47 was also retrieved along with Malik's body.

Five bodies have been recovered in total, and the operation has ended.
