50 injured in bombing at Thailand's Muslim-dominated south

At least 50 people, including children, were on Tuesday injured in twin explosions outside a shopping mall in Thailand's Pattani.
According to media reports, the first explosion was a bomb planted in a motorcycle while the other was a car bomb. The attack was a latest by Muslim separatists in the south of the predominantly Buddhist country.
A decade-old separatist insurgency in the largely ethnic Malay Muslim provinces of Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat has killed more than 6,500 people since 2004, according to independent monitoring group Deep South Watch.
