Afghanistan: RTA compound attacked by armed assailants

Armed militants have reportedly stormed in to the compound of National Radio Television in Afghanistan (RTA) in Jalalabad.

Eyewitnesses reported the attack that started about 10 am local time, on Wednesday morning.

Tolo reported that shops in the area were quickly shut downed as people heard shots fired.

The RTA compound is located close to the governor's compound.
