England's head coach Trevor Bayliss has admitted that his side were not 'good enough' and failed to avail some really great chances following their 0-2 series defeat against Pakistan.
Expressing views on their 127-run defeat in the third and the final Test at Sharjah, Bayliss said it was very disappointing and his side need to learn a lesson from this tour, Sport 24 reported.
He suggested that the players should observe what they did well during their three-match series and try to follow that in the upcoming matches.
Lavishing praise on England's batsmen, Bayliss said that the skipper Alastair Cook and Joe Root batted superb in the first Test, where the duo scored 263 and 85 respectively.
Speaking about Cook's seventh partner in the last three years, Bayliss said that Moeen Ali was not as successful as they thought of.
Earlier, England had lost the second Test by 178 runs while the first Test between the two sides had ended in a thrilling draw.
With the defeat, England have slipped down to the sixth position while Pakistan have climbed up to the second spot in the ICC Test ranking.
The two sides will now play four-match ODI series and three T20s from November 11 and November 26 respectively.
