Bhopal Cabinet hikes DA by seven percent

As a New Year gift for six lakh government employees, the Madhya Pradesh Cabinet on Tuesday gave approval to increase the Dearness Allowance by seven percent, effective from July 1, 2016.

The hike in allowance will now stand at 132 percent.

Dearness allowance and dearness relief is provided to employees and pensioners to neutralise the impact of price rise on their earnings.
