CBI team arrives in Bhopal to take over Vyapam probe

A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team reached Bhopal on Monday to take over the probe into the Vyapam scam.

The investigating agency has constituted a special team of 40 officers, headed by a Joint Director level officer, to probe the scam.

The Supreme Court had last week transferred all cases relating to the Vyapam scam to the CBI.

The apex court also issued a notice to the Centre and the Madhya Pradesh Government on the petition demanding the removal of state Governor Ram Naresh Yadav, seeking a reply within four weeks.
