The Congress party will on Wednesday hold a mega rally called 'Zameen Wapsi Andolan' at Jantar Mantar to oppose the BJP government's land acquisition ordinance.
The ordinance has led to protests from various quarters.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal yesterday joined social activist Anna Hazare at his protest against the Central government's Land Acquisition ordinance, which he termed 'anti-farmer and anti-poor'.
"The Land Acquisition ordinance is anti-farmers and anti-poor, we strongly condemn it. If this Land Acquisition ordinance is passed, this Government will act like a property dealer for big corporate honchos," Kejriwal said while addressing fellow protestors at the Jantar Mantar.
Hazare has also called for the government to take back the bill, as well as looking out for ways to improve the condition of farmers.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had also termed the ordinance as 'draconian' and urged the Central government to withdraw it immediately.
