Cricket South Africa (CSA) general manager Corrie van Zyl has said the board is not turning a blind eye to the national team's recent dip in form and expressed confidence that the Proteas would surely bring themselves back on track.
South Africa have slipped to the sixth spot in the recent Test rankings following their series defeat against India away and England at home last summer.
Van Zyl, however, insisted that he was not worried about the team's performance as there were other factors like injuries which contributed to those results, Sport24 reported.
He further revealed that the board had to choose some inexperienced players for the Test series due to the non-availability of key bowlers like Dale Steyn.
Van Zyl's comments came in the wake of some former players considering the decline of domestic cricket as the reason behind dip in national side's performances.
The general manager insisted that his country has a lot of talented cricketers and, therefore, the board would conduct a review in order to bring success back in the team.
