People in Dharamsala attended the first cut screening of documentary 'Through Flesh and Bones
A non-governmental human rights organisation, Tibetan Centre for Human Rights and Democracy (TCHRD) screened the movie which tells the story of Tibetan torture survivors.
"Tibetan Centre for Human Rights and Democracy just finished the first cut screening of 'Through Flesh and Bones', a new documentary film on torture in Tibet, and it features stories of six Tibetan torture survivors. How they suffered in Chinese detention centres and how they were brutally beaten up and tortured and also mentally tortured. So these are the stories that we have brought to this documentary film," said Director of TCHRD, Tsering Tsomo on Thursday.
The documentary consist testimonies of six Tibetans, each of whom were subjected to torture by Chinese authorities for participating in non-violent protests for Tibet's freedom.
Apart from Tibetans living in exile in India, foreigners also gathered for the film's screening.

Tibetans feel their intensely Buddhist culture is at risk of annihilation by Beijing's political and economic domination and the migration of a majority of Han Chinese into the Himalayan region.
The International Day in Support of Victims of Torture is observed annually on June 26 to honour the victims and survivors of torture throughout the world.
