Jubilant after Barcelona lifted the La Liga title for the 24th time, club manager Luis Enrique has hailed his side's consistent performances and insisted that it was a well-deserved victory.
The defending champions were crowned La Liga champions after star striker Luis Saurez smashed a hat-trick during the side's 3-0 rout of Granada to finish the tournament with a one-point lead over fierce rivals Real Madrid and three points clear of Atletico.
Suarez's performance also saw him achieve La Liga's golden boot award after he brought his tally of goals to 40.
Enrique said Barcelona have always managed to overcome difficult situations and were paid for their top-quality performance throughout the season.
"Throughout the season we have been at a very high level. This is a prize for regularity and it's a deserved one. We have managed to overcome difficult times. We're pleased for the fans, for our families and for the club. Now to celebrate and try to win another title next Sunday, Enrique was quoted as saying by goal.com.
