Atletico lose as Barca, Real take La Liga race to final day

Atletico Madrid's hopes of lifting the La Liga title were crushed after losing 2-1 to already-relegated Levante, while Barcelona and Real Madrid ensured that the title race will go to the final day.

Defending champions Barca maintained a one-point lead over fierce rivals Real with a 5-0 rout of Espanyol and will retain the title if they beat Granada next weekend, Sport24 reported.

Meanwhile, Real claimed their 11th straight La Liga win with a 3-2 win over Valencia, thanks to two goals from Cristiano Ronaldo.

Real will face Deportivo la Coruna on the final day of the season.
