Google preparing a censored version of its search engine for China: Report

How important is the Chinese market for global tech giants such as Google? If we go by the company's latest move, it ought to be very very important.
A leaked Google document has revealed that Google is preparing a censored version, codenmed Dragonfly, of its popular search engine to abide by the Chinese government's strict laws, Mashable reported.
The custom China-only Android app would block websites and search terms about human rights, peaceful protests, political dissidents, democracy, police brutality, religion, and so on.
