Demi Lovato has revealed that she had suicidal thoughts even at the tender age of 7.
The 20-year-old singer, who has dealt with self-harm, bulimia and bipolar disorder in recent years, made the shocking confession in the August issue of the Cosmopolitan, the New York Daily News reported.
She told the publication that she felt like God gave her a voice, not just to sing with.
The blonde beauty said that God put her through those things, which seemed horrible at the time, but they have been worth it and now with the obstacles she has overcome, she can help other people.
The former Disney star, who endured a turbulent relationship with her parents, asserted to the magazine that she went through things when she was younger, that she has never talked about, which probably caused her to turn out the way she ended up turning out.
She said that even though she was grateful to be on TV, she was also really struggling.
Lovato, who spent her youth on popular kids' show 'Barney 'n' Friends', added that even before Barney, she was suicidal and was just 7 at the time.
