India suffer 0-2 defeat against Kiwis in first Hockey Test

The Indian men's hockey team suffered a 0-2 defeat against New Zealand in the opening Test of the four-match series on Tuesday in Nelson.
New Zealand displayed a spirited performance throughout the game as Nick Haig put the hosts ahead in the fifth minute before Jared Panchia doubled the lead in the second quarter.
The Sardar Singh-led side, who registered two convincing wins over New Zealand A before this match, will next face the national hosts team tomorrow at the same venue.
