Kabul: 10 killed in attack on security compound

At least 10 people were killed and 19 others got injured in an attack on a security compound in Kabul on Thursday, Al Jazeera reported.

Najib Danish, spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, informed that the explosion occurred close to a compound of British security contractor group G4S, near an industrial park on the main road from Kabul towards eastern Afghanistan.

Officials stated that a suicide bomber detonated his explosives following which a gun battle ensued between other fighters and the forces in the area.
