Katy Perry was 'suicidal' after Russell Brand split

Katy Perry has confessed that she was unsure about continuing to live after her marriage to Russell Brand broke down.

The 28-year-old singer, whose upcoming album 'Prism' features two songs based on her split with the comedian, told Billboard Magazine that her new track 'By The Grace of God' is evident of how tough it really was at a certain point in her break-up, Contactmusic reported.

The pop singer asserted that she questioned her life and wasn't sure if she could endure the heart-ache.

Perry, who is currently dating fellow musician John Mayer, added that all her songs are real-life moments, and if her fans want to know the real truth about her life, they should just listen to the songs.
