Leonard Nimoy hospitalized with severe chest pains

American actor Leonard Nimoy has been hospitalized after he suffered severe chest pains, it has been revealed.

According to TMZ.com, the 'Star Trek' star was transported to UCLA Medical Center last week.

Sources said that paramedics weren't taking chances with the 83-year-old actor and, therefore, they got him in front of a doctor at the earliest.

Nimoy has been in and out of hospitals multiple times in the last few months and he blames his illness on decades of smoking.
