Liverpool's 'man-mountain' Sakho admits smashing fitness machine during medical!

Liverpool's French defender Mamadou Sakho broke a fitness machine during the team's medical, after boss Brendan Rodgers earlier called him a monster.

According to the Mirror, Sakho, 23, broke one of the cardiovascular machines in the Reds' gym during his medical for the 15 million-pound switch from Paris Saint-Germain he made at the start of the month.

The 6ft 2 in man-mountain of a centre-half admitted that the incident did actually take place, adding that one of the machines did break, and they had to fix it.

He said that strength was one of the key attributes of his game and that as a defender he needed to use it.

 

The defender added that he grew up in an area of Paris, which was not all sweet and nice, and at that age, he put up himself a bit to earn some respect.

He said that the English style pf play would suit him and after doing it all with Paris, it was time for him to turn a new page in his career.
