Manchester United defender Chris Smalling has heaped praise on Anthony Martial, saying that the star striker has performed really well under pressure in his first season at Old Trafford.
The 20-year-old was brought in from Monaco in a deal of worth 36 million pounds on transfer deadline day at the start of the season.
Martial has smashed a total of 14 goals in all competitions so far, including a late winner against Everton that led his side to the finals of the FA Cup.
Smalling said that Martial came in United with a lot of pressure, but he has managed to overcome it with each passing day, Sport24 reported.
The defender claimed that Martial has a great potential and that he had performed brilliantly for United even in most dreadful situations.
Insisting that nothing was able to faze him, Smalling said that Martial had always went to the field with an aim to score goal no matter who he is playing against
United, which are currently fifth in Premier League standings, will lock horns with Crystal Palace for the FA Cup glory.
