Manipur: Locals demand implementation of Inner Line Permit system

Local residents here formed a human chain on Monday demanding implementation of the Inner Line Permit system.

Hordes of women and children held hands on the roads, shouting slogans for the acceptance of their demands.

"ILP is needed to protect the indigenous people f Mnaipur, We don't mean to kick out the outsiders. It is for the safeguard of our people," said a local resident.
