A baby, weighing an incredible 13.47 pounds and measuring 22.6 inches, was born in Germany last Friday at University Hospital in Leipzig without C-section.
Though babies of Jasleen size are often delivered via caesarean section, her mother gave birth to her vaginally, the New York Daily News reported.
Her mother had a previously undiagnosed case of gestational diabetes, doctors discovered.
The condition usually develops around the 24th week of pregnancy and can lead to larger-than-average newborn size.
Doctors told German newspaper Der Spiegel that the mother-daughter duo are doing well after the birth, though the baby remains in the neonatal care unit.
Jasleen has broken the record of a 13-pound boy named Jihad born in Berlin in 2011.
