Meghan Trainor never voted in presidential election

Meghan Trainor is one US citizen who has never voted in a presidential election and does not even want to.

The 'All About That Bass' singer, who has been outspoken on the political issues, including gun control and LGBTQ rights, recently revealed to Billboard, "I've never voted and I don't have any desire to," reports News.com.au.

The 22-year-old singer claimed that this is not in protest over the candidates on offer, saying "I should be way more aware. If it was [Clinton] or Trump, I'd definitely vote for her."

However, her fans did not take it well and have been quick to slam her for the statements, posting comments on Twitter including "Meghan Trainor telling @Billboard that she has 'no desire' to vote is the most irresponsible thing I've heard all week. #norolemodel.
