Miscreants arrested with arms in Tripura

Three miscreants were arrested by police along with arms and ammunitions following an encounter at Sanicherra area along the Tripura-Assam border.

Acting on a tip-off, the police officials were looking for a group of 10 miscreants, led by a surrendered former National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) militant Larin Halam, who were trying to loot hotels and fuel stations along the NH44.

Search is on for the remaining members of the group.
