Muzaffarnagar encounter: Four wanted criminals arrested

Four wanted criminals, with a bounty of Rs. 5,000 each on their head, were arrested after an encounter broke out between a gang of robbers and Ramraj Police in Muzaffarnagar's Jansath Circle on Tuesday.

Ramraj Police arrested Koshinder, Jitender, Akash and Vishwas alias Guddu, and recovered two motorcycles, two mobiles, cartridges among other items from their possession.

The arrested men were accused of looting a finance company employee last month, and confessed to incidents of robbery in Khatauli, Mawana, Hastinapur and etc. They were allegedly planning to loot Rs. 25 lakh in Delhi.

Another wanted criminal, Vilas sustained bullet injuries, while Station Officer of Ramraj was also shot at on his bulletproof jacket.

 

The robbers opened fire on police party when two of their bikes were frisked on suspicious movement at Jansath Circle. Police strongly retaliated.
