Nepal's Ambassador to India Deep Kumar Upadhyay on Sunday thanked India for its relief efforts after a massive earthquake shook the country last week.
"We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to India for their support; it's wonderful. It is incredible and natural that every Indian is standing to support Nepal. We are very thankful," said Upadhyay.
Earlier in the day, Upadhyay had said that the crisis highlighted the 'heart-to-heart' relationship between people across the two borders.
The death toll following the devastating earth-quake that rattled the Himalayan nation of Nepal a week ago has crossed 6,600. Over 14,000 people have received injuries so far.
Fresh aftershocks were reported earlier on Saturday in Kathmandu and other areas. It created panic among the people, who scrambled for open spaces.
