Nepal on Friday recalled its Ambassador to India Deep Kumar Upadhyay for reportedly opposing the postponing of Nepalese President Bidhya Devi Bhandari's visit to India.
Upadhyay told ANI, "I have been told to comeback, however, I am yet to receive the order."
The visit has been cancelled due to the recent political developments in the nation and speculations about a change in government.
The Nepal President was scheduled to start on May 9 during which she had to attend the 'Sahi Snan' at the Kumbh mela on May 14.
Bhandari was scheduled to visit India at the invitation of her Indian counterpart Pranab Mukherjee on May 9.

The President's personal secretary, Bhesh Raj Adhikari, said that she would not visit India on the scheduled date.
Bhandari was scheduled to meet her Indian counterpart at the Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi on May 10.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was scheduled to meet the President the very day.
